Today’s sketch isn’t digitized. It’s a line drawing I created with a Sharpie marker. I’ve fallen in love with drawing these; I think it’s become my own unique style of abstract portraits. None of them are depictions of specific people or anyone at all for that matter. I think that’s why I love them so much; it gives me a chance to break away from reality and just create what comes naturally.
I got news yesterday that a friend & distant cousin died in a car accident yesterday, but it wasn’t until today that I actually processed it. It’s crazy how we take life and time for granted when neither revolves around us. Rico was a nice guy who was almost always smiling and happy. As hard as it is to believe he’s gone just like that, I trust his soul is resting well somewhere in heaven. My prayers go out for the Napier family. We love you, Bro! And even though you’re gone, you will never ever be forgotten.
