illustrators | The Underdog Diary

First of all, let’s give a round of applause for my patience and focus today. lol I was lying in bed this morning mad because I was wide awake before 10am… as usual. I grabbed my phone to check out the new Instagram posts from a few illustrators I follow; their illustrations are always beyond dope. So I decided to try something well outside of my comfort zone. I got my sketchbook and Sharpies & sat up in bed to try and execute an idea I’d had in mind for a bit. I’ve been anti-swag since social media lovers & addicts coined the term – no shade to any swag-tacular readers. I’m just more of an old-fashioned gal when it comes to personality so charm is much more attractive and appealing to me. Back the illustration though… Drawings like this are waaaaaaay outside my comfort zone. i’ve always been more comfortable and better and realistic drawings and illustrative depictions, but I’m glad I pushed myself today. I was nervous about sketching the idea because I wasn’t sure how it’d come together, but I’m really happy with both the sketch & the final illustration. Tell me what you think.
